The simplest way for you to create an account is to head to the Sign In page. From there you just need to follow the on-screen prompts, first entering your email address and then the remainder of the details. You will need to verify your email address before you can gain access to your account. To do that, you just need to click on the link in an email address verification email that you will receive.
At Soteria’s Wings®, our aim is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to create an account, whilst placing the utmost importance on security. Since we need to ensure that users can only log into our app when they have created an account on our website, we are only able to allow email-and-password sign-ins at this time.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it either via the website or the app itself.
If you wish to reset your password via the website, you simply need to head to the Sign In page, enter your email address and then click on ‘Trouble signing in?’ when you see that appear.
If you wish to reset your password via the app, you can do so by clicking on ‘Forgotten your password? Reset it here.’, which can be found on the bottom of the sign-in page, beneath the button.
In both cases, you will receive an email from the app’s authentication system with a link to reset your password.
We understand that there will be times you need to change the email address associated with your account, especially if you move to a different email provider. To make the change, you simply need to log into your account with your current email address and head to your account’s settings area. Alternatively, we can make this change for you should you wish. You would just need to get in touch with us, here.
If you decide that you wish to remove your account (and therefore cancel your subscription) we will be sad to see you go. To do this, simply get in touch with us, giving us your full name and email address, stating that you wish to cancel your account and subscription.
Subscriptions & Payments
At Soteria’s Wings®, we want to ensure you have access to our fantastic app, without it costing the Earth. Therefore, a subscription with us will only cost you £5 per month. If you choose to pay annually, you’ll pay £54 per year, saving 10%!
Yes, absolutely, we want you to be sure that you love our app before committing to a subscription. Therefore, you will receive a month’s free trial when you sign up. You will need to enter your payment details when you first sign up, but you will not be charged for the first month. This is a no-obligation free trial, so if you do not wish to continue your subscription, simply cancel it before your trial ends. If you cancel after your trial ends, you will have to pay for the month or year in which you remained subscribed to the app.
No, you do not have to sign up for a fixed-term contract. Our subscription operates in a similar way to Netflix or Spotify, where you can cancel at any time and you will only need to pay the subscription amount for the month or year in which you remained subscribed.
No, you do not need to sign up for a Direct Debit. Our subscription payment system works by storing your card details and charging you once a month, on a recurring basis.
Our subscription services accept all major credit and debit cards, including Amex. In the future, we do plan to accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
You may find, from time to time, that you need to change the card details used in your subscription. This includes if your payment method is about to expire.
You can either do this by getting in touch with us, providing the new card details, or by logging into your account. Once logged in, head to the ‘Payment methods’ section, where you will find a button to add a new payment method and delete your current one.
It is important to remember that if you delete your current payment method but you do not add a replacement one, your next payment will fail and your access to the app will be suspended, until you restart your payments.
Due to the legal complexities of entering into a contract with people under 18 years of age, we cannot allow anyone under the age of 18 to sign up to our app. However, if you are under 18 and wish to use our app, you simply need to get your parent or guardian to sign up for you and then use their login details.
If a parent or guardian signs up on your behalf, they are ultimately responsible for your actions whilst using the app, including ensuring that you comply in full with our Terms and Conditions.
We do not currently offer group-based subscriptions. As it stands, if you have a group of people who all want to sign up, such as students in a flying school, members of a flying club or an aircraft ownership syndicate, each individual will have to sign up separately. However, we do plan to add group licences in the future, so stay tuned!
If you decide to cancel your subscription, we will be sad to see you go. You can either do this by getting in touch with us directly or by logging into your account and then heading to the ‘My Subscriptions’ tab. There, you will find a ‘Cancel’ button, which you can use to cancel your subscription.
As per the Terms and Conditions you agree to when you sign up, you will need to pay the subscription fee for the month you remained subscribed to the app.
Using the App
Our app is available on both the Android and iOS platforms.
If your device runs on Android, you can download it exclusively from the Google Play Store. If your device runs iOS, you can download it from the App Store.
We want our fantastic app to be available to as many pilots as possible, by allowing it to work on as many devices as possible. Therefore, the minimum OS requirement for Android is 6.0 (Marshmallow) and for iOS, the minimum version is 11.0.
When you subscribe to our app on the website, you will create an account, with an email address and password. Once you have downloaded the app, you should log into it using the same details as your website account.
Before you use our app, you will need to ensure you are logged in. For that, you will need an internet connection. Beyond that, we have designed Soteria’s Wings® such that it can be used anywhere, without an internet connection, wether you are at a remote farm strip, or you are flying at 10,000ft and needing to divert.
Yes. You can log into the app on multiple devices, for example if you have a smartphone and a tablet. At the moment however, any completed calculations are stored within the app installation. Therefore, if you log into the account on multiple devices, calculations made on a particular device will only be seen in the installation on that device. We are planning on adding cross-installation communication to the app though, so sit tight!
It is also worth noting that if you log out on one device, you will be logged out on all devices and so if you intended to stay logged in on other devices, you will need to log back in on them.

Of course! The app allows you to create custom profiles for your own aircraft, based off the sample ones stored within the app. You can set custom empty and maximum weights, as well as fuel capacities and moment arms. Whilst this will not affect your performance calculations, it will help to ensure that weight and balance calculations are more accurate for your own aircraft.
Absolutely! With our Custom Runway feature, you can create and store any custom runway, including data such as elevation, runway length, surface slope and more. You can then use this stored runway in all of your take-off and landing calculations with ease.
Of course, if you do find that your runway isn’t stored within our app, we’d love to hear from you. If you can provide us with all the relevant details, we’ll be more than happy to add it into our app for you.
